Fiore

I pick the flowers in the garden
Yellow and pink and purple and blue.

Flowers to brighten my living-room
Same flowers that darken the parlor.

Contrasting exterior pigments
With interior colors.

Scents and colors reflecting moods
A back-drop to life around them.

I broke the vase.
